I just don't see why they got to give so many tools to destroy your enemies. Even the trails of cold steel games on blind runs on nightmare are easy. It's not just octopath traveler it's all JRPGs Games lately are just to easy. You got to go out of your way to make it a little challenge. Even trails to Azure nightmare blind run is challenging but this game is just made to easy. I like a challenge like trials in the sky second chapter on nightmare blind run. I know the reason I won't buy it is because there is no challenge. Also going to multiple platforms should of brought new customers as well. If all the people who bought the first one really enjoyed it they would of bought the 2nd game. The same leeway is not given to the sequel. OT1 was forgivable because it was new and an experiment. Unfortunately, there's a reason why books have a beginning, middle, and an end. I say this as someone who is really enjoying OT2, but who know loads of people that won't buy it because it didn't really address OT1's problems.especially the lack of a traditional narrative. Non-dynamic levels means you can accidentally ruin entire chapters of the game.Ĥ) Some minor errors (Partitio uses a bow instead of a gun.what?) that needlessly sacrifice the awesome 19th Century settingĥ) Far too similar to OT1 which, again, limits it's appeal and replayability. I'd rather have a 20 - 30 hour game I can play, and replay over the course of my entire life than a bloated "one and done" game.ģ) Because of the freedom it is too easy to be overlevelled. Half that or less would be ideal, and allow for replayability. A slightly more structured, urgent structure would help the game's appeal.Ģ) It's too long. ![]() Some people like this, but they are in the minority. ![]() 1) The game structure that sacrifices too much urgency in favour of too much freedom.
